Programming Training foR KIDs

The project consists of carrying out weekly classes of 1 hour duration in a course with approximately 8 to 12 students (at least 5th grade of primary school).

The theme of the classes is around the development of mobile application software through the MIT App Invertor platform, with the aim of introducing students to the world of technology, showing them not only the usual path of the consumer but also the possibility of being creators of is.

In a first stage, a varied number of short and simple projects are developed to introduce students to the way of thinking of a developer without losing sight of obtaining fast and visual results, thus maintaining attention and interest.

As a second stage, less visual activities and exercises are proposed compared to the previous stage, but that allow them to strengthen concepts and basic foundations of the world of development as well as begin to awaken logical and critical thinking. Currently using various platforms and dynamics depending exclusively on the rhythm and progress of the group.

The wealth of acquiring this type of knowledge is essential in today's world where we see a boom in the digital economy and so many opportunities for growth and development, both professional and personal.

That is why starting to get into these issues from an early age can help both professional and personal development of students as well as provide them with tools for their professional future.

The specific objective is for the student to acquire the ability to solve problems in a practical way, regardless of whether it is a known area or, on the contrary, a new one, that they have the necessary tools to find their way, relying on logical and critical thinking, using technology as an ally. and support.

Some secondary objectives to achieve it are:

• Develop projects that arouse curiosity and motivate reasoning
• Practice with simple problems in areas in which they have no knowledge so that they learn to investigate those things that they do not know from the base 
• Use technology as a main tool in a way that is natural to them lean on it as an invaluable resource when possible.
